1 ART in Coaching – a way of being – 24th October 6pm to 8.15pm GMT
A deeper dive
The ART in Coaching approach is person-centred and as such it is a way of being.
Carl Rogers himself concluded that ‘… client centred therapy has been transformed into the person-centred approach – I am no longer talking simply about psychotherapy but about a point of view, a philosophy, an approach to life, a way of being, which fits any situation in which growth – of a person, a group, or a community – is part of the goal’.
In this webinar we dive deeper into the person-centred art-based approach – why it is so effective and important for art-based coaching as well as how it creates a way of being that enables art-based coaching to be used across coaching genres, can be applied across different coaching modalities as well as the many areas we coach in. This is because our clients, no matter who they are, or what they are working on, may need to work in a way that coaches beyond words.
By the end of the webinar you will have a deeper understanding of person-centred art-based coaching and start to explore how you could expand your use of art-based coaching in your practice.

2 Rich visualisation in art-based coaching – 28th November 6pm to 8.15pm GMT
Experiential
Rich visualisation creates an immersive imaging experience for our clients on their area of focus and exploration – what they are seeing, hearing, feeling, even smelling and tasting.
In this experiential webinar we explore when rich visualisation is good to use in art-based coaching and through trying it out how to introduce and use it.
We look at the benefits of this approach to Stage 1 – Imaging of The Five Stages of Coaching With Art. as well as the potential downsides of rich visualisation in art-based coaching particularly when it becomes too directive.

3 Art and coaching in nature – 16th January 2025 6pm to 8.15pm GMT
Expanding practice
Research tells us of the wellbeing benefits of being in green and blue spaces as well as the benefits these spaces bring to learning and development.
In this expanding practice webinar we look at how you can work with clients in nature in an art-based way including using The Five Stages of Coaching with Art and the additional opportunities and benefits of working this way with your clients.
We also look at the practicalities of materials and what to be mindful of when sourcing natural materials.
By the end of the webinar you will have ideas for starting to work with art with your clients in nature.

4 Art and coaching the whole brain – 13th February 2025 6pm to 8.15pm GMT
A deeper dive
In this deeper dive webinar we debunk old myths around the right and left brain and explore why it is important for us to understand the why and how to coach with the whole brain.
We look at how art-based coaching provides whole brain coaching for our clients through explicitly giving our silent right hemisphere a voice, and how this leads to deeper meaning and insights, new perspectives and shifts for our clients. It is one of the reasons why art-based coaching is so effective.
As Ian McGilchrist says ‘Our talent for division, for seeing the parts, is of staggering importance [left hemisphere]– second only to our capacity to transcend it, in order to see the whole [right hemisphere]’.

5 Body mapping in coaching – 13th March 2025 6pm to 8.15pm GMT
Experiential
Stress, anxiety, burn out and other mental illnesses are all on the increase due in no small part to today’s fast paced world where cultural, societal and organisational psychological contracts cause people to override what their bodies are telling them in order to deliver what they perceive is expected of them or is actually expected of them.
In this experiential webinar we explore and try out body mapping as an exercise you can use with your clients to help them tune into how they are physically feeling – a first step in understanding what they need to do to restore balance, connect with and understand their emotions and understand what they need to do for restorative embodiment.
I will also share case studies on how I have used body mapping with clients.

6 Play and art-based coaching – 10th April 2025 6pm to 8.15pm BST
A deeper dive
In this deeper dive webinar we look at play and why the playful aspects of art-based coaching is one of the reasons why art-based coaching is so effective, naturally bringing the benefits and added value of play and playfulness to our clients.
Stuart Brown, MD author of ‘Play’ and founder of the National Institute for Play shows us how play shapes the brain, opens the imagination and invigorates the soul. He says that ‘the ability to play is critical not only to being happy, but also to sustaining social relationships and being a creative, innovative person’.
Through understanding play and the playful aspects of art in coaching it further underpins the credibility of this approach, further building confidence in art-based coaching.
