Diploma in Art-Based Coaching (in person)

In Person

ADCT Awarded Programme

An in-depth development programme

This programme is planned to be run in 2027

I am delighted to be able to offer this AC ADCT accredited diploma programme. It is the first qualification of its kind, with art and creativity at its heart.

An advanced programme that leads to you becoming an Accredited ART in Coaching Coach.

Who is the diploma for?

The diploma is for qualified and experienced coaches who want to develop an art based approach as part of their practice and achieve a level of mastery.

Sabrina Ahmed

“This has been an incredible course to participate in. I have continued to learn new and exciting ways to coach that have not only improved my coaching overall, but is more in alignment and congruent with my personal values and interests.”

What experience do you need?

You may have already attended an Art in Coaching workshop or programme and may already be working with art in your practice.

You may not have started working in this way yet.

There is no requirement to already be practicing art in coaching as the foundation module, Module 1, is designed to cover the essential principles, framework and practice needed to start coaching with art. This module will also be designed to ensure it is a purposeful refresher and deepens practice for those who have covered some of this module before.

Do you need to be a creative coach?

Coaching with art is an approach that can be used no matter what kind of coach you are. It is equally relevant for executive coaches as it is for life coaches. This is because coaching with art is person-centred. It works with our clients in a way that gives them access to a deeper level of personal awareness, understanding and meaning.

Using art deepens and enriches our coaching conversations  through the expressive visual language of art and creates transformational shifts in perceptions and understanding that can lead to significant changes in personal development and growth.

Coaching with art is about working with the whole person and the area of focus they are bringing to the session. This could be anything from a leader wishing to change their behaviours to maximise their impact, through to someone wanting to unlock what they need to live a happy and fulfilling life.

“The impact of the art-based coaching diploma has taken my practice, learning and personal development in a surprising and exciting direction.

I feel I have experienced a transformational shift in this area – my own creativity having taken a back seat for many years has been reawakened.

The use of creative reflective practice has been a wonderful gift and something I will continue to use.”

A note about ICF CCEUs

I have been in touch with the UK chapter of the ICF and they have provided the following criteria with which courses accredited by other bodies can be submitted for CCEUs:

For coach education or training programs that have not been accredited by ICF:

  • You must submit proof of completion in the form of a certificate or signed letter issued by the program indicating the name of the program, dates of attendance, and total hours completed.
  • You must list the hours of content that are delivered synchronously and asynchronously. Note that 50% of all required instruction must be synchronous, allowing the opportunity for real-time interaction between instructors and students.
  • You must provide a concise class outline or syllabus that summarizes the names of classes/modules and the time allowed for presentation.
  • You must provide student materials. These materials may include a student or instructors’ manual, handouts, power points, or any other documentation that clearly illustrates the detailed curriculum.

Information provided 6th September 2024 from the UK ICF.

I can confirm that the programme certification and content enables you to meet all of these criteria for your ICF CCEUs submission.
